How an Import Container Move Works

An import container drayage move begins after the container has been discharged from the vessel and the necessary releases are in place. ITZON TRANSPORT handles the trucking and drayage portion of the move.

Customer provides shipment details, delivery location, and any relevant timing or facility requirements.

Container Availability and Release Coordination

Import Service Options

Depending on shipment requirements and scheduling, the following service arrangements may be available. Availability is not guaranteed and is subject to scheduling and operational conditions.

Direct Delivery

Container is picked up from the port and delivered directly to the receiving location in a single move.

Pre-Pull Arrangement

Container is picked up from the terminal before the delivery appointment date and staged at an off-dock location, which may help manage Last Free Day exposure in certain situations.
